LET ME BE REALLY CLEAR: WHEN I SAY “MIRACLES” IT’S NOT HYPERBOLE OR METAPHOR OR EXAGGERATION. I MEAN ACTUAL MIRACLES.
You can create miracles because you are a miracle; how could it be otherwise?
So why does creating miracles sometimes seem so freaking hard? Lots of reasons that all pretty much boil down to one thing: fear.
Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of looking bad, fear of the process, fear of ruin, fear of rejection, fear of death, fear of getting hurt, fear of attention, fear of being ignored, fear of regret, fear of responsibility, fear of judgement…LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of fear.

We’re really good at fear because our brains are designed to make sure we do one thing above all else. The most primitive part of your brain doesn’t care about your happiness or you reaching your full potential or any of that. Bottom line: your brain’s number one priority revolves around one thing, and that thing is: STAY ALIVE.
Back in olden times when humans were being chased by lots of things that wanted to kill and/or eat us, fear was great. Yay fear. Go inside a cave and close the door? Thumbs up. Do everything possible to gain prestige and protect our position within the tribe? Oh hell yes. Condemn all things unfamiliar and foreign? Let’s do that.
HERE’S THE THING THOUGH: AT LEAST FOR MOST OF US,
THINGS HAVE CHANGED - ESPECIALLY OVER THE LAST COUPLE HUNDRED YEARS.
There’s not nearly as many things trying to kill and/or eat us as there used to be. However, our brains haven’t had a chance to update the software yet. If you use cutlery, you’ve got plumbing going into your house, and you’re reading this on a phone or computer connected to the internet, you have the opportunity to do WAY MORE than just survive.
Evolutionary habits die hard and we all feel fear (I run into stuff that scares me all the time). However, fear need not fascinate us or take us out of action. We can feel fear and do it anyway. When we unravel our fascination with fear, we can create miracles.
Unraveling fear is how we create miracles; that's the work we do together in high performance coaching.
